Battlestar Galactica (2004)

1 year, 3 months - A society of humans living in a distant galaxy is attacked by the Cylons; a race of robotic beings the humans themselves created. With no other choice but to face certain death, the remnants of humanity flee in a small fleet of remaining ships, with the Galactica, the only military Battlestar spacecraft left, as their first line of defense.

Led by a Laura Roslin, a woman who found herself thrust into the role of President thanks to the events of the attack, and William Adama, the commander of Galactica, the humans are driven by the goal of finding Earth, the mythical planet where it is believed their ancestors lived. In the meantime, the fleet is under constant threat from the Cylons, who seem determined to destroy them all.
