This year we recommend the use of a Retro Lancer for perfect pumpkin carving precision. Chainsaws are awesome but a little noisy, messy, and the gas fumes can make you feel funny. That said, it’s time for our third annual pumpkin carving contest!

As usual, the Split Reason team will be carving some geek and gamer themed pumpkins and we’d love to get you involved to see if we can top the results from last year and the year before that!

After hundreds of entries, begging, bribery, and overall madness surrounding our Giant Domo contest, it’s time to announce the winner!

The winning entry was selected at random, and domo goes to… fightingfish73 who got in touch with us on Twitter!

We wanted to send a huge thanks to everyone who participated, this was a great contest and we had a blast reading through all your entries! It’s too bad there can only be one winner! Every Wednesday we’ll be tweeting a geek or gamer related trivia question.  EVERYONE who replies with the correct answer within 24 hrs will be entered into a draw for one free SR shirt and one of two SR sticker packs.  In Addition, EVERYONE with a correct reply will receive an entry into the the grand prize draw to be awarded at the completion of  Season 8.  The Grand Prize for season 8 is… not yet decided! We’d love to hear some suggestions so if you have an idea that would make for an awesome grand prize, drop a comment below or send us a DM! We’ll announce the prize at a later date.

Someone forgot to tell this guy it’s not the Mad Max Chainsaw Massacre Zombie Walk, but kudos for a sweet costume.

I don’t even know, but I’m pretty sure I pee’d myself a little bit on this one.

Naked zombie chick was getting a lot of attention. This guy is totally going in for a cop and feel, he wasn’t even there for the zombie walk. He’s the guy they kill off in the first few minutes of pretty much every zombie movie!

A sole zombie activist. She wasn’t after any brains, just looking for people to support undead human rights.

Happy old man zombie reminds me of Bill Murray in Zombieland. He rules, so does his t-shirt.

I kept running into these two. I tried to strike up a conversation but all I got was a few grunts and a groan.

These are the Zombie Bro’s. I call them that because they kept saying “Bro”. They’re also on a permanent break from being zombies… “it’s too hot for this bro, pass me a brewski!”

This guy was serving up femurs, tibia’s, and fibula’s. He was running a serious operation.

It wouldn’t be a zombie walk without a few zombie killers.

So, there was a long line-up of people waiting to pose with naked zombie chick. I’m not sure what all the hype was about, I heard a few guys say she had a lovely personality.

Now that’s an axe! Great for zombie killing if you can actually lift the damn thing. The “Zombie Bro’s” hauled it in on a flatbed for a few packs of smokes and a 6-pack.

Pocahontas zombie wasn’t really sure what this was all about, so she just started putting babies on a stick.

This guy was a rock star, he only had one arm. People were in awe of his costume. Someone asked “How did you pull that off?” — So he lifted up his apron to show he only had one arm, and replied with “You know, I just pulled it off.”

A quick appearance from zombie Jesus made the Apocalypse official! I didn’t see the zombie in the background trying to eat the head of the statue until just now. Bonus content!
