Guess today's game! I think this may be a bit of a tough one, but I've been wrong pretty much every time so far... so errr, we shall see! Snoochies!

Clan of Conan Newsletter #20!  [ Comment ]
Print News | Category: Official News
Funcom has put out issue #20 of Clan of Conan their semi-monthly Age of Conan newsletter. This holiday issue includes a downloadable greeting card, a preview of the new dungeons, word of a new social pet reward, updates to come, screenshots, a video and all that good stuff! Oh yeah... and a present!

To celebrate the season, we are happy to reveal that as of December 18th all active accounts have been given a never before seen virtual item: The Kosalan talisman of clarity. In addition to both boosting both the stamina and mana reserves of its wearer, the talisman also features strong regeneration of both these values. Although better items are found deeper inside the game, this item is great for any new characters.

What Kind of Gamer Are You?  [ 7 Comments ]
Print News | Category: Community News
FilePlanet has a fun little holiday quiz up to find out what kind of gamers we all are. So apparently...

I ENJOY SEEING THE FEAR IN OTHER PEOPLE'S EYES

Some people call me short tempered and hardcore but I prefer the term dedicated. I dislike crowds, especially crowds containing people trying to kill me. I always win, I have an aggressive personality.

    Ack. Take the quiz!

New AoC Cradle of Decay Screenshots!  [ 2 Comments ]
Print News | Category: Community News
Ten Ton Hammer has slapped up 14 new exclusive screenshots from Age of Conan's upcoming dungeon called "Cradle of Decay". The dungeon is currently on the testlive server but will be making its way to to live soon.

This dark dungeon is in a stone valley and comes complete with its own green mist. The entrance to this dungeon can be found southeast of the Lacheish Plains entrance in the Field of the Dead and it is a level 43 group based instance.
Personally I think the shots look gorgeous.

Print News | Category: Community News
Ten Ton Hammer talks up a Discovery Online survey which asked over 2,000 peeps if they would forego sex for two weeks in order to keep interdweeb privileges. About half the women chose to keep their 'net access, while more than half of males ranging in age from 18-34 preferred a little hanky panky in the boudoir. Still, about 4 out of 10 males took the internet over sex during the hypothetical two week period.

Terrawen pulled ahead yesterday by guessing the game of the day, with the added twist of requiring the character class displayed. It was a Vanguard Paladin. It's still anyone's game, first person to 10 points scores a VN Board custom title, a couple weeks of VIP, a kick in the junk, a spongebath from my mom, and an assortment of catalogued bodily fluids! Sweet. Today is simply "guess that game". Have at it, make mama proud!

I'm very honoured to receive this award, I'd like to thank the academy and most of all, those who voted for me! Reminds me of when I first started following Age of Conan and got the shaft for an article on my site. Wheeee!

One game hopper fills us in on why he can be in the middle of a quest and just suddenly log and cancel his account. While he's played pretty much every MMO since EverQuest, he's yet to achieve a level of substance. EQ, WAR, AOC, POTBS, SWG and many more, what specifically went wrong?

I'm also watching you, but only when you're in the shower. Have a good one gang!
