KATE & LEONARDO HIT THE RED CARPET TOGETHER!

good morning! last night kate winslet and leonardo dicaprio hit the red carpet (both of 'em look fabulous) at the los angeles premiere of their new film revolutionary road (based on the novel by richard yates) which paired the actors together again for the first time since 1997's titanic (the highest grossing film ever) plus this film happens to be directed by kate's husband sam mendes - this marks their very first project together! all three of them were recently nominated for golden globes - plus the film nabbed a best drama nomination! i must say i agree with mr. dicaprio - he recently said ms. winslet is one of our generations finest actors - she really is incredible in pretty much everything she does (and i suppose leonardo is quite decent too!) popbytes over & out for now...xoxo

NIP/TUCK SEASON # 5 CONTINUING SOON!

good evening! we're only a few weeks away from the continuation of season #5 of my beloved nip/tuck - sadly the season got cut short last year because of that writers' strike (and soon we might have actors striking...ugh) there will be only eight new episodes but thankfully i got word today there will indeed be a season #6! luckily i had the opportunity to preview the first new episode which will air on FX on january 6th - the plot picks up right where it left off - with crazy lady colleen rose (played by the amazing sharon gless) stabbing dr. sean mcnamara (cutie pie dylan walsh) in the back - literally! this season hasn't been my favorite - i think i preferred the doctors living down in miami but it's still one of the best shows on TV right now - plus the night after the show's premiere - we've got the 2nd season of damages (i'm still half-way through the first season - it's an INCREDIBLE show - glenn close is brilliant as ruthless litigator patty hewes) check out the new poster for nip/tuck below along with a video promo featuring kanye west's killer track flashing lights - it's so hot! right now i'm trying to stay warm - it's freezing & wet here in los angeles - i hate it but i guess it could be worse! popbytes over & out for tonight...xoxo

good morning! i didn't want to fall back on some cheesy remix song for this week's monday .mp3 - last night i decided to go through my inbox and listen to some new music sent my way - which was a huge undertaking since so many people send stuff my way (most of it junk) and i'm not even a dedicated to music blog! i came across this track called and i found this boy from maia hirasawa (join her on myspace) a swedish-japanese singer songwriter who will debut her first album here in the states on february 17th called though, i'm just me which went gold in her native scandinavia - she reminds me a drop of lily allen, björk, regina spektor, and feist - i quite like the track below (it reached the top ten on the swedish charts) have a listen for yourself (plus i've posted the video) popbytes over & out for now...xoxo

OH GROSS! HEIDI & SPENCER...AND SANTA...UGH

good evening everyone! those highly annoying newlyweds heidi montag & spencer pratt were trying to spread some holiday cheer around this weekend while shopping on roberston blvd here in los angeles (looking at baby clothes - lordy i hope they're not ready to spawn - yikes!) even cozying up to santa claus in the picture below (santa's hand is up because he's about to strangle both of 'em!) tomorrow night on the hills we'll see more of speidi's (fake) mexican nuptials - the couple claimed they eloped but how convenient it was for MTV to have their cameras ready to roll down there - i don't even think they're legally married - to be honest i really don't care (the whole show is a sham) but of course i can't help watching all the vacant stares (oh audrina 'ceiling eyes' patridge) and petty drama go down - soon whitney port's new 'reality' show the city will premiere on december 29th - she's a sweet girl and all but totally on the boring side - someone is going to need to spice up that show - they should hold auditions for east coast versions of heidi & spencer! popbytes over & out for now...xoxo

KATE WALSH SPOTTED ON MY BLOCK

hey hey! so i was out walking the doggies this morning when i noticed there was about six paparazzi dudes hanging out across the street (where an AA meeting was taking place) i asked them who they were waiting for - it turns out it was actress kate walsh - who is probably trying to keep herself in check after word broke she's splitting from her hubby alex m. young who she was only married to for fifteen months! (he filed for divorce citing 'irreconcilable differences') i snapped a few shots from my balcony of the scene - i do like ms. walsh but i think she should have stayed on grey's anatomy rather than doing that spin-off show private practice which probably won't be around much longer! (then 'addison montgomery' can head back to seattle...) popbytes over & out for now...xoxo

UPDATE! based on someone's comment below - the meeting was for al-anon (a support group for people dealing with someone w/ a drug or alcohol problem) it got me thinking - her hubby just filed for divorce - now she's spotted at this meeting w/ an unnamed male companion (keep in mind she's not somebody the paparazzi normally chase - there were 6-8 paps following her this morning - perhaps they were tipped off...) maybe this will somehow factor into her divorce proceedings - claiming her soon to be ex has some kind of issue and doesn't deserve a dime? maybe it's just my over active imagination at work (or i've watched way too many soap operas) but it all seems a drop fishy to me...when i first asked the paps who they were following - when they told me kate walsh - i was like 'uh...ok' - i was expecting someone like lindsay lohan or paris hilton - certainly not ms. walsh!

ANNA NICOLE SMITH'S NEW GRAVESTONE

hey everyone! oh i know this is kind of a depressing post - the newly unveiled gravestone marking anna nicole smith and her son daniel's final resting place in the bahamas - i know they're buried in the same plot but for some reason - her tycoon hubby j. howard marshall (the old guy she was hitched to) is also listed on the gravestone - i don't think he's buried there - so i don't see the point - unless whoever decided to toss his name on there has money on their mind - since that whole thing hasn't been settled yet! sometimes i still can't believe she's gone - say what you want about her but she for sure had a good heart and definitely kept things interesting! popbytes over & out for now...xoxo

PS it turns out some of mr. marshall's ashes are actually buried with anna & daniel - and baby daddy larry birkhead was the one who commissioned the gravestone!

TARA REID GOES TO REHAB (& I'M GOING TO A PARTY)

good evening! i'm going to be brief (as i can) tonight i'm heading over to my work's annual holiday party which i know will be a blast - i need to party down! (along with my pals joey & melissa) one person who i know won't be partying down tonight is actress (i use that term loosely...) tara reid who finally checked herself into rehab (at promises - i'm assuming in malibu) probably something girlfriend should have done ages ago - we all seen her get super messy over the years! (oh my gosh - remember that show taradise?) her reps aren't saying what the specific issue is but it has to be drinking - she loves to get sloshed! i do wish her luck - it's good she's getting the help she needs - then she can get on with settling down & starting a family! popbytes over & out for tonight - xoxo
