But...
Following the opening of projectQ official website and the excellent feedback so far received from the community, we present here a summary of the project and a few teaser screenshots to entertain you while you find your way to our home for more. Machines and people aren't perfect. That's where community members come in. A module that should have been in the Hall of Fame wasn't, and E.C. Patterson shot me an e-mail to point it out.
We are very pleased to announce that Asylum: A Corpse, A Vote is now part of the Vault Hall of Fame. Congrats to Christian Mayr!

Matthew Rorie - Obsidian Marketing/PR Producer - Swashbuckler vs. Fighter
So would crippling strike stack with SB's str damage bonus. That is sneak/crit combos throughout a fight would keep draining the opponent's str? And how much str damage does the SB ability do, and con damage while we're at it? It's 2 points of strength (when you crit after hitting level 14) plus 2 points of CON (when you crit after hitting level 19).
I honestly don't know the answer to the previous question, but I would assume that it would stack with crippling strike, and it doesn't mention anything about only being applied once, so I'm assuming it adds up everytime you crit. Of course, to stack the debuffs you're going to have to be level 24, so it's unlikely anyone will get there in the campaign for SOZ. Should be fun to see what happens in multiplayer, though.
What type of DRM will the Storm of Zehir use?
...I'kai, I've always considered you a reasonably intelligent person. Please don't tell me you think BioWare is making SoZ. Bioware merged with Obsidan before they were bought out... Uh, no - not true. Obsidian is completely independent.
I just checked - it's a cd key install. No installation limits or anything weird like that.
Rob McGinnis - Obsidian Entertainment - New MOW Article in PC Gamer Mag
Wich brings us additional questions: 1: Is this once per PC it is activated on, or just once, period? if so, how does it verify the activation if i decide/have to change/format my HD and reinstal everything from scrap.
2: Does this system require my to have an active internet connection to play? only to activate? or not at all? atleast on the machine i am playing. 1. I don't know, but I suspect the activation would happen at install time or initial run time.
2. Internet required to activate and/or patch is what I have heard.

Matthew Rorie - Obsidian Marketing/PR Producer - Swashbuckler vs. Fighter
The INT bonus from Insightful Strike is to damage, not to attack rolls. It stacks with a STR damage bonus, but monsters that are immune to crits are also immune to the extra damage from a high INT score. Will it be multiplied on crits? Is it at least going to be softcoded so people like Kaedrin can fix it up for you? I'm by no means a dev, but I don't see why it wouldn't be multiplied on crits, like any other source of physical bonus damage.
...waiting for the inevitable examples of where physical bonus damage doesn't apply to crits.
Rob McGinnis - Obsidian Entertainment - So why do we have to pay for this?
Alternatively you might find that adventure packs backed up by Obsidian QA, support and so on are worth the relatively small outlay. Yes, Obsidian QA is the greatest in the world. They are responsible for the state of NWN2 when it first came out, not to mention most of the patches later having bugs and needing hotfixes. Or patches fixing x stuff buy breaking y stuff. If this is the selling point for MoW then, no thanks. I would rather take a free module of an enthusiast team. Obsidian has practically nothing to do with MoW, so rest easy.
You should work in the game industry for a time. We are always looking for QA people. I bet it would be an eye opening experience for you.
When will they fix the toolset to allow custom spell casting classes?
There may be a workaround through scripting, though I haven't dug into it to find out.
The way we would go about doing this would likely be to change the way the engine uses 2da files. Either we would change it to where each class would have its own 2da or we would change it so that the single 2da would contain a row for each spell-class combination.
Neither way would be a trivial fix and would actually be considered a new feature, not a fix.
This is something many of us would like to see done. If we were to do an NX3, I would push for this pretty hard as a major feature for modders.
Jeff Husges - NWN2 Designer, Obsidian Entertainment - Some technical questions on the Overland Map.
Combat is resolved by transitioning to a generic map. The type of map depends on the terrain you were standing on at the time.
Transition to the Overland Map is a party transition. If one person goes, you all go. This is handled via script, so it can be modified to behave otherwise. Having multiple parties running on the Overland Map is probably possible, but that's not how it's set up in SoZ.
Exiting the Overland Map is handled via dialog with a placeable - city, dungeon, etc.
The bulk of the implementation is in scripts, making it possible for end-users to revise or completely rewrite how they want their personal Overland Maps to work.
Some technical questions on the Overland Map.
I am interested in the mechanics of this. Will creatures in the "hostile" faction persue and "engage" the players' party or must the players choose to engage? What event is trapped here? Is there going to be some "proximity" trigger that we can capture to know when to transtion to a generic map? Hostiles on the Overland Map chase the player if notice the player and the party isn't too powerful for that particular enemy. If the party is too strong, they try to avoid contact with the player. The player can also initiate encounters by clicking on creatures.
Transitions to generic maps are handled in dialog. When you meet up with a hostile on the Overland Map, you get a dialog asking you what to do. Choosing "[Fight.]" initiates the transition.
By default, any creatures spawned on the encounter map are flagged as hostile and DetermineCombatRound is called. However, the transition script has several parameters allowing you to keep some groups friendly. This is used in special instances where you can fight on one side of an encounter or the other (or neither).
NWN2: SoZ overland encounter
Never owned any Nintendo system. Big fan of Ultima, though.

Matthew Rorie - Obsidian Marketing/PR Producer - SToA and NW9 PrCs
Shadow Thief seems selectable too, but I haven't levelled up a character with the pre-reqs to find out. The NWN9 one is easier to verify since it's so easy to qualify for it.
SToA and NW9 PrCs
Do you mean it's selectable if you cheat in the epitaph? Or that it just comes up with or without the feat? The requirement that you be a member of the Shadow Thieves is no longer there for the STOA class, so it looks like it no longer requires the epitaph.
Rob McGinnis - Obsidian Entertainment - Neverwinter Nights 2 Enhanced!
Nope, it's legal.
Plugins you see on the vault aren't illegal(NWN2 fully supports community plugins). I'm sure Rob could jump in, too, if your fears still aren't assuaged. I can't say whether it's legal or not.
However, you can import dialog and scripts with no problem. There's no point in importing areas, they would all just be flat.
Running MoW on multiple PCs
I do not think you will be able to, but I am not 100% sure.
