Developed by Mistic Software, Inc., makers of the franchise's origin, Sempai Legends, Duel Masters: Kaijudo Showdown offers a story-driven experience in which the lead character must solve a sinister mystery to prevent the world from falling into chaos. Featuring interaction with characters from the TV show, the ability to build and fine-tune decks using 300 cards and the chance to enter Shop Tournaments and win special booster packs. The Japanese version. published by Atlus under the name Duel Masters 2: Invincible Advance features decks of 40 monster cards, with 16 different rivals, taken from more than 500 cards spanning series 1 through 6. The game, which also features link-up support with the GameCube version, shipped with a special Rainbow Holo edition card and an original deck case in Japan.
