The heroes of comics get most of the glory. Who can forget Barry Allen's sacrificial run to spare DC from Crisis 20 years ago or Jean Grey choosing death over a life as Dark Phoenix? But comics greatest villains have had their own fine moments. To celebrate the finals days of IGN Comics' Villain Month, we pondered on the ten most memorable moments in villainy.
The World Series of Super-Villains

Last week, the World Series ended a little earlier than expected, with the White Sox sweeping the Astros. Though the Sox won in just four games, each game was about as close as could be, making for the best sweep in baseball history -- no blowouts and all nail-biters. To honor the ending of our national pastime, we first decided to assemble our own World Series team, comprised of comic-book superheroes. The series was such a hit, we decided to create an opposing team for these giants. And what better time to do it than during Villains Month?
The Best & Worst Batman Villains

Batman Begins is less than two weeks away. As you've probably noticed, we've been going non-stop on the Batman tip for the past couple of weeks. Look for that to intensify as we get ever-closer to the feature film debut. While Batman is, of course, the most vital part of any Batman film, the villains are also crucial. To some Ra's Al Ghul and Scarecrow may be odd picks for the first revamped Bat-flick, but they make perfect sense to us -- after all, these are two of Batman's greatest foes.
