Topic of the Week - Feet or no Feet 2:40 PST | cyric | Print NewsWell here we are, back with another truely mind twisting question for our topic of the week. OK not so much, but we are asking you if, when playing FPS games, you like to look down and see that the character actually has some feet. Not a lot of FPS games do it, and myself personally prefer when you look down, you do see a set of kicks. What say you? Like it, don't like it, doesn't matter? Leave a comment and let us know!
Will id Tech 5 be All the Rage? 19:32 PST | cyric | Print NewsNext-Gen.biz has an interview posted up with id Software's director of business development Steve Nix. The interview pretty much covers the licensing of the id Tech 5 engine and what they hope to see happen with it. Unlike the id Tech 4 Engine (previously known as the DOOM 3 Engine) it was only used for one licensed game and they are hoping Tech 5 is much different. Also they talk a little about id's dealing with publishers and the fact that they are leaning towards creating Teen oriented games. You can read the full interview right here!

Topic of the Week - .Plan Files 19:25 PST | cyric | Print NewsThis weeks topic of the week is something that many old school gamers will remember. The .plan Files. Remember back when developers had something to say to the gaming community? They didn't need to put out fancy press releases or give the information to the highest bidder. No, they would just post it in their .plan file - much like a blog for those not familiar with.plans - and then everyone would know what was up. There were even times when developers would get into little arguments with other developers through the .plans. Anyways, the topic of the week is would you like to see .plan files return or do you think it is a dead deal to never come back again?
