Yep, it’s true: Brennan does anything we want him to. As he prepares the monstrosity known as the behind-the-scenes DVD, we dance around him taking photos of him. Sometimes we do it while he’s working, other times we take pics of just of his equipment – y’know, because we have no idea what any of it does.

Also included in this photo set are a couple shots of our glorious, hard-working testers, and an office space cozier than a koozie. Enjoy!

The first part of todays installment gives us a small peek at noob-to-vet engineer, evoker, and guardian class gear aswell as a look at the Hive Blade.

Besides that whole gameplay thing, the real reason any of us jerks play MMOs or online action RPGs like Hellgate: London is for that uber gear. Don't lie. You know it's true. The inner superstar in all of us wants to show the rest of our e-peers that we've got the skills, the savvy, the brawn, or cutthroat opportunistic ass-kissing acumen to collect the finest gear our game of choice has to offer. To help kickstart that ferociously competitive mean streak in every gamer reading this cover story, we've assembled a small sampling of what Hellgate's loot looks like, spanning the complete range from total noob to well-outfitted veteran. In previews and screenshots of online games such as this, it's hard to discern whether you're looking at the good stuff or the entry-level stuff. Well, now you know. In this small peek at noob-to-vet engineer, evoker, and guardian class gear, you'll find that identifying a true veteran of the game from someone who just started up will take little more than a glance.

Engineer Class

Noob: Dual Thermal Bolters
Mid: Poseidon Sniper Rifle
High: Grizzly Rifle

The second part of todays installment see's Sharky and Milk gush about their Diablo days, you can download the podcast from Here

The newest installment of 1up's Londons Calling is now online.

Todays installment comes in two parts, the first one looks back at the Diablo series and features a re-review of the games. <link>

Looking back, it's easy to see what Diablo did right. It took the speed and instant gratification of an action game and melded it with the depth and long-term goals of an RPG. Then it threw in randomized levels and items to keep the replayability cranked. Hell, the prefix/suffix system of random magic item attributes bled over into just about everything since. Nowadays, you can loot a Godly Knickers of the Squirrel in freaking Minesweeper.

The second part of Todays installment is focused soley on some of the Flagship studios Dev team. <link>

1. What games have you worked on before, and what did you do on them?
Blackthorne - Sound and Music Composition
Warcraft: Orcs and Humans - Producer / Voice Acting / Manual Design & Layout / World Design
Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness - Voice Acting / Narration / Manual Design & Layout
Warcraft II: Beyond the Dark Portal - Executive Producer / Storyline Consultant / Voice Acting / Narration
StarCraft - Producer / Voice Acting / Manual Design & Layout
StarCraft: Brood War - Executive Producer / Voice Acting / Manual Design & Layout / Campaign Design
Diablo - Producer / Strike Team / Voice Production, Directing & Casting / Story / Voice Acting / Manual Design & Layout
Diablo II - Senior Producer / Strike Team / Voice Casting / Voice Acting
Diablo II: Lord of Destruction - Strike Team / Global Launch Team / Voice Acting
Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos - Strike Team / Voice Acting
Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne - Voice Acting

2. What do you do on the Hellgate team?
World Design & Continuity / Voice Acting / Whatever production and design work is required

3. What character class are you favoring in Hellgate right now and why?
I have been playing the Evoker almost exclusively as a class advocate. This means that I focus in on what needs to be done to make the class play better, so it is constructive fun.

4. What's your favorite part of action RPGs like Hellgate?
The constant flow of play which works well with my attention deficit style of play.

5. Is there anything else interesting you want to add about yourself?
I am so excited to be a part of the crew at Flagship. This is honestly the best team I have ever worked with.

Bill Roper was in attendance at this years i30 event to show off Hellgate:London and answer some questions.

The Multiplayer component of the game comes in a Guild Wars style MMO. Players pay per month to join the server and create a character and from here they can meet up with their friends in towns. From the towns they enter instanced areas - also generated randomly like the single player game. Not all areas are randomly generated however as some are based on real-world landmarks - Bill showed us Covent Gardens and the British Museum.

also a question on pricing popped up later on in the article
How much does the multiplayer subscription cost?

It's not been set yet, but there's not going to be any surprise in the pricing - it'll be matching what's currently around.

We contacted Flagship to confirm or deny the multiplayer fees but nothing has been confirmed yet according to Brennan Ieyoub.

Check out the full article at i30 - Hellgate:London by Bill Roper

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Edit*
Brennan has said that the original question asked was the following:-
How much does the box copy of the game cost?

It's not been set yet, but there's not going to be any surprise in the pricing - it'll be matching what's currently around.

It just looks like they are putting there making up their own questions to go with the answers.
