The first one is about the previously reported 1500 years of playtime recorded since BF2142's launch. The second announcement is about the DICE dogtags challenge. Since its launch on October 18th, more than one million rounds of Battlefield 2142 have been played online. That's more than 8.9 billion bullets fired, and more than 1,500 years worth of heart-stopping multiplayer action - and that's just in the first few weeks! Thanks for making Battlefield 2142 so successful and see you on the battlefield.

This week DICE challenges you to seek out and take the dog tags from as many Dice players as you can. Whatever your motivations are, this is the time to get our dogtags.
Below are the names of DICE players that will be playing during these days and who will be fighting to keep you from their tags. Feel free to add the players to your buddy list so that you are able to locate them in the game. The soldiers will do their best to populate both US and European servers. Between December 14 and December 17 we will be tracking how many DICE dogtags are captured, and the people who capture the most dogtags will be featured in a future community update and on the Battlefield website.
You are also free to send us any screenshots as proof of the humiliation on the battlefield to the following address: dogtags@dice.se and we will post some of them online. Here is your shot for honor, revenge and some good old fashioned butt kicking.

BF2142 Stats Issues 12:07 PST | ^Scott^ | Print News | Mail News The BF2142 stat servers seem to be having some problems now. Some people’s stats are reporting incorrectly and show 0 points or "no data available." EA/ DICE are aware of the issue and working on a solution according to a message from the news ticker.
Update: The issue should be fixed.
We are currently working to correct the EA server login and soldier stat issues affecting players. We are working to have both issues resolved as soon as possible.

12/13 - The fix for the unlocks and rewards issue has been completed. Everyone should now have their original rank, stats, awards, and unlocks.

Speaking of maps, Ga-Knomboe Boy has been hard at work at creating a wartorn battlefield for your enjoyment. While the map is still a work in progress, we have made the map with 2 styles of combat that allow the server admins to choose which to run. The first is a King of the Hill scenerio where both teams rush for the top of the hill to secure and hold it while the other Mode one team starts off controling the hill and defends it from the attacker.
