Well it took a bit longer than planned (but what things dont in the gaming world?). but Battlefield 2142 is now its own gametype on Enemy Down and is now accepting clan sign ups! Clans currently competing on Enemy Down will need to create a new clan to join the BF2142 section.
There are currently 3 ladders:
- Conquest : 16 Player Maps
- Infantry : 16 Player Maps
- Titan Read the Rest...
Hello, We are now at the end of 2006, and some of you ask for an release date, it's too early to speak about release, cause our mod need to be complete with few details. We have proceeded to pre-beta test and have to correct some important things before BETA test and release. We have just few problems with vehicles and need to fix it. TW is fully compatible with 1.41 patch. We need to work on TW before release, and after too. Read the Rest...
First Strike 12:04 PST | Stealth97 | Print News | Mail News First Strike posted two updates today. The first update talks about in-game testing along with showing in-game screenshots, while the second update shows renders.
FSDev| Woodrow writes "Well, as you can see we've finally moved beyond models and theory into the actual game. And not just any game, but 2142. For the last two weeks we've been steadily pouring content into the 2142 engine and trying actually playing with it. And to help us with it we've recruited a team of 12 'Alpha Testers' to assist us in testing and offer feedback on the direction of our work. Read the Rest...

Forgotten Hope 22:01 PST | ^Scott^ | Print News | Mail News Forgotten Hope has posted a new update today with a lot of new renders and in game screenshots. FH would also like your vote in the Mod of the Year Awards over on ModDB.
Hello and welcome back to another update of Forgotten Hope. Today is a special update, as we are able to reveal another player model, one of the most complicated things needed for the mod. But, before we get to the images and descriptions there are a few other items that are worth mentioning.First, of all, the voting for the 5th annual moddb.com Annual Mod of the Year Awards has begun. Last year Forgotten Hope for Battlefield 1942 was honored to be named #14 of the best mods of 2005 and and Forgotten Hope 2 for Battlefield 2 was named the second most anticipated unreleased mod. After a release that was a bit rough around the edges, Project F.U.B.A.R. is continuing onward. Version 0.2 will be available soon, addressing the list of bugs that have been listed on the forums. Sadly Conquest the Flag has been removed until a network issue can be solved. Along with this update comes another game mode, Flashpoint.
In Flashpoint both teams are given non-cap main bases, all other control points are up for grabs; however they can not be taken until activated.A random control point will be selected and be given to a team. One team must defend this control point for 3 minutes, while the other team must attack and capture it. Read the Rest...
Today we are back again with a really big update! You will see some really nice screens of the brandnew playermodel-skins as well as some new features like the teleporters (which are working just fine) and the brick-artillery.
In addition we will present you the winners of our "Get-your-model-ingame-Contest" today. But first I have to say some words to the prices. First we said, that the 4th and 5th place will get an "specialprice". But due to some technical problems we couldn't realise that. Therefore we decided that these two winners will get a beta-tester-slot, too. At this point we want to thank you for the participation on our contest and we proudly congratulate all winners! The war for the world's remaining inhabitable space and resources continues to build in fury. In the frigid streets of Berlin the EU and PAC armies faced off in the one millionth Battlefield round to determine which force will secure their survival. Fifty four battle hardened soldiers faced off across the eerie urban wasteland. Though each side was well armed the close quarters of the city caused many to resort to more traditional means to dispatch their enemies. Chief Petty Officer Gold Asaphelps, relying on stealth and aggression, collected four dog tags from his enemies while securing the city for his faction. Though reports are unclear as to which team emerged victorious, heroes have emerged from the ranks of soldiers.
Through the fog of war our first Supreme Commander has risen up to take his place in the "Battlefield's Hall of Fame". Through solid performance in all aspects of Titan warfare Noobish-Noob has established himself as our first Supreme Commander. The reporters here at the DICE News Networks congratulate him on his promotion but warn that enemy soldiers are now on alert for his presence.
Today we show of the finished F-16 skins, portraying the Danish and Norwegian air forces. More shots will come later
As well we have a special treat for you. We have made a little film showcasing the jet models in NC. However, its a rendered film and not in game, but still we hope you will like it. Read the Rest...
The CLAN MOD has, after a few beta releases, reached its first full release! Many thanks to all clans that participated in the betas, you were all an important part in the making of this first full release. Also, a BIG Thank You to Mach10, coder of the all-new Server Administrating script.
With this fancy new script, you can control the server through the in-game chat. When you are ready for a RS LIVE (restart), simply type !ready in the chat. As soon as at least one player from both teams have done this, there will be a countdown in which you can abort the RS and then the round will restart. Read the Rest...
New BF2142 Map or Expansion? 14:32 PST | ^Scott^ | Print News | Mail News German Battlefield community BF-games.net has stumbled upon an interesting discovery. They found an EAUK BF2142 server running a map called garmisch_partenkirch, and running a game mode called gpm_sl, which they believe stands for supply line. There is much speculation over this as some believe it is just a bonus map like Wake Island 2007 for BF2 and others think it is an expansion. Also notice on the Game-Monitor page there are a few new server variables such as bf2142_allow_spectators, bf2142_ranked_tournament, and bf2142_custom_map_url. The Babelfish translated article can be viewed below.
Update: Another map called Karlbo is being played on that EAUK server.
[Rough Translation] On the server, which players can keep both with Loki and with Game monitor in the eye, runs the unknown map mix part churches (map name: garmisch_partenkirch) and that also still in the play mode gpm_sl, which stands as well known for however the Supply LINE never announced at that time converted. Among them one understands one since the times about Battlefield 1942 admitted play mode, with which the flags on the map in a firm order must be taken. The play becomes less tactical thereby, however true mass battles develop. Read the Rest...
Hello and welcome to another Battlegroup-Frontlines update. Today we have some renders of our Sturmgeschutz III which has been modelled and skinned by Robur.
Sturmgeschutz III (StuG III)
The StuG III was of the first of a series of assault guns/tank destroyers that Germany produced during the war because they were cheaper, easier and took less time to manufacture than turreted tanks which was why the Germans build them in large numbers. In 1935 Colonel von Manstein proposed that Sturmartillerie units were to be formed for use as direct support for the infantry divisions. Read the Rest...
Episode 34 brings with it a lot of things. Most notably two new patches for Battlefield 2142 but perhaps more interestingly, lots of Snow in Canada and Borat. Yep, Borat. DICE has released patch 1.05 earlier this week and then swiftly followed it up with patch 1.06 to fix a major CTD that snuck into 1.05. We talk about that mistake, point out all the other fixes and improvements and disappoint those of us hoping to get the randomly awarded PAC service ribbon (it's been fixed folks). Thankfully a lot of the exploits, certainly the most well know and hideous ones, have been snuffed out as well. Read the Rest...
