GT Pro Series Review
22:49 | by Evan
Ever since the details behind the Wii's unique controls saw the light of day, developers have been scrambling to find cool ways to make use of the Wii Remote. For the developers of GT Pro Series, that means letting players get behind the wheel of more than 80 different Japanese cars and taking the Wii out for a spin around the track. Once the novelty wears off though, will racing fans find themselves tooling around in a sweet ride, or just chugging along in a digital hoopty? Find out in our complete review.

Madden NFL 07 (Wii) Review
22:56 | by Evan
One could easily criticize EA's Madden franchise for publishing incremental upgrades from year to year and never really taking new strides to improve upon their formula. This year's focus on lead blocking and the running game was met favorably by the critics, but Madden NFL 07 for the Wii may well be the most significant contribution EA has made to sports gaming in ages. While the incredibly fun Wii Sports allows those who have never played a video game before to jump right into simplified versions of varied sporting events, Madden 07 is a far more ambitious release.

Here you have a full-featured football game with all the plays, game modes and features you'd expect from the regular game, custom tailored to provide players with motion-driven controls that are fun to perform and make excellent use of what the Wii remote control interface has to offer. Head on over to GameSpy for the full article.

Reggie Bush Cover Athlete for Mobile Game
22:47 | by Evan
Gameloft, a leading developer and publisher of games for mobile phones, announced today it has signed exclusive rights to use New Orleans Saints running back, Reggie Bush, as a cover athlete for a football simulation on mobile. Bush will be featured in Gameloft’s upcoming mobile game, Reggie Bush Pro Football 2007.

“We are incredibly excited to join forces with Reggie to develop an exhilarating game that will finally bring the excitement of football to mobile.” said Michel Guillemot, president, Gameloft. “Football is a classic American pastime, however mobile players have been disappointed by most of the games that are currently out there,” said Guillemot. “Reggie Bush Pro Football 2007 will not only reflect his incredible talent, but also bring a realistic game that is stamped with Gameloft’s signature touch to the market.”

“I’m thrilled Gameloft chose me to be the cover athlete for their new mobile football game,” said Bush. “It will be cool to practice my moves on my cell phone before a game.”

Considered to be one of the most electrifying offensive players to enter the league in years, Bush, 21, is a key player for the New Orleans Saints. As a Heisman Trophy winner and the number two 2006 NFL Draft pick, all eyes are on Bush for the football season.

Reggie Bush Pro Football 2007 is scheduled for release in January 2007.

Brian Lara International Cricket 2007 Online Play
22:46 | by Evan
Brian Lara International Cricket 2007 will be the first ever cricket video game to offer extensive online play when it launches next March for Xbox 360, PlayStation 2 and PC. No other cricket videogame currently available offers this gameplay feature.

On Xbox 360, Xbox Live gameplay will deliver multiplayer tournaments, including the ICC World Cup 2007 and ICC Champions Trophy 2006, leagues, exhibition and warm up matches. Xbox Live leader boards and specific achievements, such as scoring a century, or winning a match at every ground in the game, will enable players to gain gaming points. Less scrupulous players will also be able to “sledge” their opponents over Xbox Live voice chat, adding a touch of psychology to proceedings and immersing the player deeper still into the match experience. Or you could just chat politely about the weather.
