Please note that rewards are subject to a good board history. Your title may be denied if you have a recent bad history. Thank You for understanding.
First off, it would be worthwhile to explain what the Topic of the Week is. Each week, we will be starting a new discussion. The discussion will be contained on the thread and will remain on topic. We will post the best response on the DDO Vault website and the poster will receive one week VIP status OR a title of their choice. This title never goes away. The "contest" is officially over when the new topic of the week is posted, but the discussion can continue. Feel free to have friendly arguments with the other posters. Discussion and debate is good and encouraged, but do not let it get out of hand. Feel free to explore the subject!
Winners have one week (7 days) from when the results are announced to claim their prizes. If prizes are unclaimed after a week, they will go to another eligible person (second place if they do not have the same reward, or someone who achieved an honorable mention.) In the case of no other placed or honorable mention winners, they will go to another contestant, judged by the same merits as that of the original contest.
We are aware of the losses that some people had in the system, and we are working on a solution to help those people out as well. We'll provide more information when it is ready for release. In the meantime, we appreciate your patience and will do whatever we can to help you out.

Turbine Statement on DDO Server Issues[ Comment ] Print News | Mail News | Category: D&D; Online - D&D; Online Due to high demand from the release of Module 3 and related technical issues, DDO has experienced some service disruptions during periods of high load that have affected some of our players. All of our servers have remained open, however during peak times some players are experiencing issues. It is our goal to produce cutting-edge games that immerse our fans in other worlds, and disruptions like this are unacceptable to us.
Weve had a team of engineers working around the clock since the issues first appeared on Friday, October 27th. We have already corrected some of the errors and were closing in on the root cause of the problem. Were not going to claim victory until DDO is running smoothly and all of our players are enjoying the game once again.
Until that time, we hope that you can remain patient. We will be providing updates in the Service News section of our forums.
Resolving this issue is our number one priority. Were truly sorry for the problems any of you experienced. Please bear with us for just a bit longer as we finalize a solution.
This thread will be allowed to garner responses until midnight Sunday, November 5th, at which time a panel of judges will select the top 10 responses to be posted on D&D; Vault and, of course, the winner of the week!
The person chosen for submitting the #1 response, will be awarded with either a one-week VIP or a permanent title. Rewards are subject to good board history.

Whaddaya Think?[ 12 Comments ] Print News | Mail News | Category: D&D; Online So now that the Demon Sands are available, we'd love to hear what you think! Exploring the desert wastes of Menechtarun? Tell us about it! Are you the new king of the smackdown in the PK arenas? We want to know! Got something to say about the new quests, dungeons, spells, feats and other changes? We're all ears!
Whatever your thoughts are on the new module, we'd be glad to hear about it so let us get some comments!
In the Demon Sands module, the Resist Energy line of spells for Wizards were consolidated into one spell that can resist all energy types. Wizards who have the individual Resist Energy spells or Protection from Energy spells memorized should open their spell panel and remove the icons for the individual spell types and memorize new spells. This must be done during your first session after the Demon Sands release. If you do not remove the icons during your first session, you will be unable to put new spells in those slots in future sessions. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes you and will resolve this issue in a future update.

Module 3 - New Solo Quests![ 4 Comments ] Print News | Mail News | Category: D&D; Online We are spreading the Solo gaming experience in Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach even further! For Module 3: Demon Sands several quests in the Stormreach Market and House Deneith can now be completed in solo mode. These quests are:
Redfang the Unruled
The Foul Chambers
The Sunken Sewers
The Deneith Sewers:
- The Depths of Despair
- The Depths of Darkness
- The Depths of Discord
- The Depths of Doom
You create a storm that sends down a single torrent of searing rain. Any creatures that are hit with the rain continue to take 3d4 acid damage every 2 seconds every 3 caster levels.
You taint a living creature's blood with a hot, corrosive infusion, dealing both 1d8 points of acid damage and 1d8 points of fire damage per round per caster level. A successful Fortitude save negates the damage for one round.
The divine power of an angry deity imposes a punishment in the form of a sharp, spiritual blow to the target, dealing 1d6 points of bane damage per two caster levels (maximum 5d6) or 1d6 points per caster level (max 10d6) if the target is undead. A successful Will save reduces this damage by half.
Wreaths the caster in hot or cold flames. Any creature striking you in melee takes 1d6 +1 per caster level (max 15) damage. The Fire version of this spell deals fire damage and reduces damage the caster takes from cold by half. The cold version of this spell deals cold damage and protects from fire. The flame from this spell will burn away any webs that attempt to entangle you.
A powerful missile of magical force darts from your fingertips and unerringly strikes its target, inflicting 2d6+2 points of force damage. You gain one missile for every four caster levels.
Glyph of Warding
Level: Clr 3
Components: Material, Somatic, Verbal
Target: Foe, Positional
School: Abjuration
Duration: Instantaneous when triggered
A powerful inscription that explodes when entered, doing 1d8 per two caster levels (max 5d8) to the intruder and all nearby targets. A successful Reflex save reduces the damage by half.
Minor Globe of Invulnerability
Level: Sor/Wiz 4
Components: Material, Somatic, Verbal
Target: Self
School: Abjuration
Duration: 1 round/level
An immobile, faintly shimmering magical sphere surrounds you and excludes all spell effects of level 3 and lower. Such spells fail to target anyone located within the globe, but any type of spell can be cast through or out of the magical globe.
A magical sphere that compels all enemies who enter it to dance. A successful Will save negates this effect.
Symbol of Flame
Level: Clr 4, Sor/Wiz 4
Components: Material, Somatic, Verbal
Target: Foe, Positional
School: Evocation
Duration: 1 round/level after triggered
You scribe a potent rune of power in the air. When the symbol is activated by a target approaching, any targets that come within range of the symbol take 1d6 damage per caster level (max 10d6) once. A successful Reflex save negates this effect.
You confer on the subject the ability to see things as they actually are. This allows the target to notice secret doors hidden by magic, see the exact location of creatures hidden by blur or displacement effects, and see invisible creatures or objects normally.
