Fincher's 'ZODIAC' Gets A January Release Date
Bloody-Disgusting.com reports that Paramount Pictures has announced a January 19th, 2007 release for David Fincher's "Zodiac", which stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr., Anthony Edwards and Ezra Buzzington.Based on the true story of one of the most intriguing unsolved crimes in the nation's history, "Zodiac" tells of a serial killer who terrifies the San Francisco Bay Area and taunts police with his ciphers and letters, while investigators in four jurisdictions search for the murderer. The case will become an obsession for four men as their lives and careers are built and destroyed by the endless trail of clues.

MTV.com reports that last week, Roth briefly emerged from a Howard Hughes-like exile to storm the MTV Movie Awards, an appearance so last-minute that someone else's credentials were hanging around his neck. While sneaking a long-overdue peek at the light of day, Roth was all too eager to offer his fans some details on "Hostel 2"."I'm writing 'Hostel 2' for girls it's going to be three girls this time," he revealed. "They're studying in Italy for the summer, and they get lured, and they go back to ... well, we're going to go back to a lot of familiar places...In 'Hostel 2,' you're really going to see the ins and outs of the whole organization and how they get people and kill them...And there will be plenty of blood and torture," he added with a sadistic grin. "I can tell you that." Roth hopes to begin shooting in August and to release the film in January 2007.

Do you find yourself getting a kick out of seeing zombies tearing a man apart and then feasting about his intestines? If so, Horror Brain would love to talk with you about becoming a volunteer.
As many of you may have noticed, Horror Brain is IGN's latest creation into its Brain Network. Following the successful launch of Sci-Fi Brain, Horror Brain covers everything from your blood and gore flicks to your teenybopper slasher movies. We also cover TV shows that cross into this genre and cover various periods in TV history. Such classics as The Twilight Zone to Buffy and Angel are covered. Plus, we have, more recently, reviews of hit new shows like Supernatural and Showtimes Masters of Horror. In addition, book reviews and crossover games are reviewed and are an important part of our website. We also LOVE to receive creative and fresh new pieces from fans. This includes everything from original short stories to poetry and artwork. The more areas we cover and information we receive the better. Now, this is where you come in.
We here at Horror Brain are looking for talented writers who would like to volunteer their time for this wonderful new site, writing and reviewing anything of your choosing. Scifi.com is reporting that cult horror filmmaker Stuart Gordon told SCI FI Wire that his upcoming movie for Showtime's second season of "Masters of Horror" will be based on a classic horror story and will reunite Gordon with his "Re-Animator" star, Jeffrey Combs."I'm going to be doing Edgar Allan Poe's 'The Black Cat,'" Gordon said in an interview. "Jeffrey Combs [who also appeared in Gordon's From Beyond] is going to be playing Edgar Allan Poe, so that's going to be pretty wonderful. What we've done is we've combined the story and Poe's life. I've always wanted to do a biography of Poe, because his life was like one of his stories. I mean, there was just so much stuff going on."

Filmz.ru now has up a massive 9-minute reel of footage from Pavel Ruminov's Russian horror flick "Dead Daughters". Warning: Contains HUGE spoilers.Again, here we are with another foreign language film, this time in Russian. Now, I don't understand a single word these people are saying. I am clueless as to what their newspapers say. Yet, while watching this 9-minute montage of film bits from "Dead Daughters", I couldn't help but be intrigued by the visuals in the footage. So, again, if all you know is English, then you might want to avoid this. Yet, if you wanna check out the latest horror from other countries, give these 9-minutes a look.
